My Story
I didn’t set out to start a tour. I began by noticing water towers and wondering why they were everywhere yet almost invisible. That curiosity led me into years of walking the city, speaking with artists and architects, and tracing how these structures appear in culture, art, and daily life. The tours grew out of that ongoing exploration: part research, part storytelling, part invitation to look up and see New York differently.
I’ve lived in New York City for more than 15 years and have always been drawn to its unexpected and often hidden delights. I love sharing these discoveries, from the John M. Mossman Lock Collection to the hammocks on Governor’s Island and the impressive Panorama of the City of New York at the Queens Museum.
I am a licensed NYC tour guide and a member of the Guide Association of New York. My work has included training programs for the Guggenheim Museum, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and hundreds of New York City taxi drivers as well as 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience.
Water towers are a deep passion of mine, an often overlooked but defining part of New York’s landscape, and something I continue to study, share, and celebrate. The tours are just one way into that work: an invitation for both newcomers and longtime enthusiasts to explore together, share stories, and connect over a part of the city that is often hiding in plain sight.
